Saimons - 'Album Review'

By Cyndi Ford

Surprises were awaiting me as I casually clicked on the attachment of some new music from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I never expected a few tunes that reminded me of the happy go lucky days of the 80‘s. I was pleasantly surprised to put it mildly. I was nodding my head along to tunes that I was hearing for the first time. Had to get up off my feet and dance about, reminiscent of the days of of Split Enz, and Crowded House, aka the Finn Brothers.
Samions Music has a sound that is melodic and with a smooth tempo that has that makes you smile. Been a long time since I have heard a nice “pop” band with so much promise. These guys have the potential to be the next big thing, world are you ready?

“Caught in a Cage”  is a catchy tune; one that most definitely hooks you and holds your interest to go on. And the next song, “In the ell” was the one that caught me for sure. It has a sweet melody that is sure to grab every girls heart, love’s theme song? “Just can’t wait” keeps the mood going with a nice instrumental part that has a surprise of what sounds like an orchestra, nice...
The production on this album is amazing; masterfully done. You can tell that they went the extra length to ensure a quality sound, taking advantage of multiple tracks, providing a full complete sound; the song “The Light” is a perfect example of these efforts. "Losing Time” keeps the sound going on the same path as the others, while “Panic” takes you in another direction and has the added surprise of acoustic guitar, nice touch. "Worlds Apart”, “Hope Lit Path”, “On the Mend”, “Over”, all of the tunes sounds like a wonderful blast from the past. I speak from my heart when I say these guys are a refreshing reminder that quality music is still being written for the pop markets.
This could be the sound track to a modern day “Pretty in Pink”, and be forever written in memories as the sound track to anyone’s youth, right out of a John Hughes movie.

I love it~
