Piss Ant were first on my playlist sometime ago, with their great release 'I Know Your Type' back in 2007, and I have to say, I was knocked out by their energetic brand of punk rock. The latest release from the Hollywood rockers, 'Speak Up' grabs you tightly by the neck and doesn't fucking let go until it finishes....it is a masterpiece of writing and showcases the bands talent in abundance.

Well, enough already, you don't need me to point that crap out to you do you? Check it out for yourselves...Stu Taylor brings some of the very best, original acts over to Europe year in year out, and his label, STP Records is an extension of this, exciting bands, great music, originality and fun....Josi Kat fronts this hard hitting outfit and she's got the attitude, killer looks and style it takes, not to mention a fucking great rock n roll voice.

'Speak Up' title track sets the tone for this album from the outset....rocking along at a fair old pace, it's back to 1976 all over again and it's exactly the sound from that era...lot's try, lot's fail....Piss Ant hit the nail!!

'Public Opinion' is Joe Strummer's lost song....has The Clash stamped all over it, and that's a fucking good thing. It's hard to dislike anything about this album, it really is....it's 'in your face' and it ain't going away...'Whips And Chains' is a wonderfully eclectic mixture of sounds, experimental almost and even has a great instrumental running through it...again, another sign of the talent behind this outfit.

A great cover of Penetration's 'Don't Dictate' and the song with absolutely THE best title 'Attack Of the Killer Tomatoes' rounds off quite nicely.
