Mighty Pragmatics - 'The Good, The Bad, The Mighty Pragmatics'
By Chris Rockson

New York City, Bad Boy-Rock n Roll, Sleazy, After-Hours, Deep, Down Down Downtown Motherfuckin' Mayhem...is about the best way to summarise what these guys are all about. The Mighty Pragmatics latest release, cleverly titled 'The Good, The Bad....' is a cab ride to the depths of Lower Manhattan in the 70's...it's all here, louder than loud guitar, heavy duty drum and bass track and screaming vocals.
Caught somewhere in between Punk and Metal, The Pragmatics deliver a blend of rock n roll that kicks you in the balls, lifts your wallet on the way down and fucks your girl at the same time....
Led by the enigmatic, gloriously crazy Johnny Eggz, the show opens up with the blinding 'High & Mighty' [playing], with it's arena-rock chorus and catchy riff...does it get any better? Oh Fuck Yeah!
'Dirty Mind' is the stand-out track on the release, reminiscent of the Heartbreakers best days in places, AC-DC in others...a pretty good likeness infact. The guitar sound is pure class and the standard of musicianship is way ahead of the competition, it won't be long before they get a BIG Break, trust me!
'Heady Daze/Boozy Nites' is an ode to the best things in life, played at pace...it's how they live life, in the fuckin' fastest lane...move or die! ''Line 'em up, Knock 'em down'...
