The Lost Souls Club - 'Romeo'
By Cyndi Ford

The Lost Souls Club are band less than a year old but one which have already played their debut show at the NEC – Birmingham, supported Kill Hannah and My Passion and recorded with producer Sam Bell (U2, Bloc Party, Weezer)
The next few months sees them releasing their first two singles Romeo /Leave A Light On, tour with Acey Slade in the UK, then head to China (Beijing Inter City Fest) & Australia to play The One Movement industry festival. Early 2011 will kick off for the boys with their first 3 week tour of Vietnam & Cambodia .
The band formed from the ashes of electro rock n roll band, Plastic Toys, who received critical acclaim for their debut album, charted with a self released single and toured the UK and Europe before going on an indefinite break in 2009. The Lost Souls Club is a musically more organic affair, with hints of bands as diverse at The White Stripes, The Raveonettes, BRMC and The Jesus and Mary Chain appearing in their big, reverb laden rock sound.
Cyndi Writes :
The self titled upcoming
EP from the Lost Soul's Club has a refreshing sound that is rock and
roll with a modern edge. The haunting sound of the vocals is a
signature sound that draws you in and makes you crave more, only to be
amplified by the guitar licks, and pounding tempo provided by the
percussion.
I love the mysterious feeling that the song "Romeo" evokes upon
you. It makes you feel like you are sneaking around and peeking into
un-chartered places that you should not be. The build up only adds to
the excitement that this song makes you feel. It makes you want to
dance, and never sit still as it draws you back into that secret
place.
The song "Leave the Light On" has a softer melody that also
posesses those haunting vocals, but is hardly what I would call a slow
song. It is a love song; this is for sure, but is delivered in a new
way, that could be described as cutting edge. I would without a doubt
give these guys debut ep"5 fist in the air" and recommend that you go
out a get your copy ....
What the 'others' say.....
KERRANG
“Their dark, pulsing rock swirls with a
sinister malice that sets the tone perfectly...”
UBER ROCK
“This four
piece certainly defy musical pigeonholing and describe themselves as a
gathering of deviants, delinquents and deadbeats. The Lost Souls Club
maybe a musical home for the heartbroken and dreamers, but on this
showing I think they'll very soon need to start booking larger venues
in which to hold their meetings, as they are about to explode.
So are The Lost Souls Club the best band of my Hard Rock Hell weekend that weren't even playing the festival? Yeah....most definitely”
