I'd read somewhere that GODSIZED were 'Croydon's answer to Black Label Society'...which, at the time, made me chuckle, as I couldn't quite visualise Zakk & Co walking down the high street in the rain. It was a pleasant surprise to receive a promo-copy of their latest Extended Player in the mail from Jen at Global Music, and it went straight onto the player.

The Black Label Society link is an obvious one, but this outfit aren't your run of the millers, they have talent in abundance, and the metal-driven cacophony they deliver is a sheer delight. 'The Phoney Tough & The Crazy Brave' may be a long-winded title, but the songs are anything but! This is well produced, loud, almighty metal and will please even the hardest of hardcore metallists out there....the guitar solo's on this are frighteningly fast and accurate, as are the rest of the instruments.

'Bleed On The Inside' [ playing in the background ] is the stand out track of the release, featuring some nasty riffage and tempo changes to die for.

One word? Epic!
